I am a contemporary artist based in Hobart, Tasmania, My practice is shaped by the cultural and natural influences of both India and Tasmania. While early memories of growing up in India especially the intricate forms of Bharatiya temples, architectural detail, and traditional crafts continue to inform my work, the Tasmanian environment has become a vital and ongoing source of inspiration.

Living by the sea in Hobart, I draw from the diverse textures and rhythms of my surroundings. The coastlines, marine life, forested landscapes, and urban geometry offer a rich tapestry of forms and materials. I’m inspired by the weathered surfaces of sea-worn rocks, the delicate structures of sea life, the layered textures of the bush, and the visual language of the cityscape. These elements surface throughout my work in form, structure, and feeling.

Formally trained at the University of Tasmania’s School of Creative Arts, my practice has grown to include object and furniture making, alongside a broader exploration of materials and form. Most of my materials are sourced within Australia, grounding my work in a strong sense of place. I also source gems from around the world, selecting each one for its unique resonance with the spirit and story of the piece.

My creative process is deeply rooted in materiality, technique, and the emotional influence of place, culture, spirituality, and memory. In my studio, I also dedicate space to showcase the work of fellow artists whose practices have influenced or inspired me. This has become an important way for me to support others on their creative journeys and help bring their work to wider audiences.
